The R158A valve is designed for domestic hot water systems with recirculation or for heating systems. The valve automatically controls the temperature of the water that circulates inside it and therefore ensures thermal equilibrium throughout the system. Setting the desired temperature is easy: just remove the black top cover and set the temperature using an 8 mm wrench. If for example a temperature of 55 ° C is required, the valve must be set at 55 ° C. If the temperature of the water circulating inside it is below 55 ° C, the valve opens and lets more water pass; if, on the other hand, the temperature is above 55 ° C, the valve closes. The black top cover must be screwed firmly onto the valve to activate the thermostatic control (and to avoid tampering). The by-pass function can be activated manually by removing the black top cover. The by-pass will force the valve to fully open and prevent temperature control. This function is used to prevent bacterial problems such as legionella and therefore it is recommended to flush the system regularly, rinsing one sector at a time for a recommended period of time.
