The protection of water networks assumes a role of primary importance in modern plant engineering. To protect the networks it is necessary to install devices on domestic systems that prevent a backflow of possibly polluted water. These appliances are called backflow preventers. The controllable reduced pressure zone double check backflow preventer, R626 series, is used to prevent damage to health caused by the return of polluted and/or contaminated water into the public drinking water distribution network following abnormal pressure variations . The disconnector must be installed between the public network and the "private" one so as to separate the two networks.
